I’m trying to remember what fandoms I’ve been in that actually required me to find played-bys. I think I’ve mostly been primarily in the X-Men fandom, and it’s been Wolfsbane, Shadowcat, Illyana Rasputin, and Doug Ramsey (not playing him right now, but plan to eventually). Can’t think of anyone else right now...

Firefly!

I couldn't answer questions 15 and 16, since I'm really not that active in the Firefly fandom anymore, and I've probably missed a lot of interesting moments.

1. I think it was Wash, when he was playing with his dinosaurs.
2. Kaylee. I thought I would be annoyed by her when I first read about the show, but I loved her.
3. Simon Tam.
4. I like River--I don't know if others hate her or not.
5. Wash, if Zoe wouldn't kill me.
6. Inara--without the Companion aspect.
7. Mal, since he was so clueless about Inara.
8. Wash.
9. Wash, Kaylee, Inara, Mal, Zoe.
10. Simon, River, Jayne, Book.
11. I honestly don't know. Maybe a bit like Wash?
12. No idea.
13. Wash/Zoe
14. I don't despise any of them--well, maybe River/Simon. I can't read that.

Doctor Who and/or Torchwood.

1. For Doctor Who, the first character I loved was the Doctor. My first episode was The Unquiet Dead when it first aired on the Sci-Fi Channel. Over on Torchwood, the first character I loved (not counting Jack) was either Suzie or Tosh.

2. Martha Jones. Over on Torchwood, Ianto.

3. The Rani. Then again, I've only found one episode with her.

4. Ainley Master. I don't know if everyone hates him, or if it was just a few that I accidentally stumbled upon that did, but I love him.

5. Ianto. Or The Tenth Doctor.

6. Going by who has the lowest number of problems, probably Martha. Otherwise, nobody.

7. Let's see: Owen in season 1 since he was such a jerk for the longest time. Gwen, multiple times in season 1 for various reasons.

8. Martha.

9. Ianto, Martha, the Doctor (all except Sixth), the Master, and Jack Harkness.
10. Gwen, Rose, the Sixth Doctor, the Rani, and Harriet Jones.
11. I don't know--but according to a meme that was going around at one point, people seemed to think I was most like Sally Sparrow.

12. Haven't a clue, since I haven't been in this fandom long enough to have one.
13. Martha/Jack, Martha/Doctor, Master/Doctor, Jack/Doctor.
14. Rose/Doctor--I think I used to like it, until there were so many fanfics of their reunions. Gwen/Jack.
15. Spectacular writers, more novels than in any other fandom outside of Star Trek, interesting ficathons, great discussions, and it's a fandom that I actually love writing in.

16. Other than the occasional blow-up and flame wars between Rose and Martha fans (which I've managed to avoid)--and RTD not caring what fans think--I really can't think of anything.

Master/Doctor huh? I've never seen the attraction of pairing the Master with anyone of the good guys, 'cos it always ends badly...
