Link Round-Up
Regarding the latest mess (certain interests are banned now--including faeries, of all things) from Livejournal, I know that a few people are jumping ship to Insanejournal. If you’re heading for Insanejournal, and I haven’t friended you yet (same journal name as this--calliopes_pen) then let me know your username over there in the comments. I won’t leave LJ until it goes under completely, because I have a permanent account here. I bought it before all the drama a while back, and LJ is still the best way I have to keep track of all the great Doctor Who and Highlander authors.
ETA: I've been informed that the banned interests have now been added back as of a couple hours ago, I would assume.
Non-LJ Drama: Aladdin (from the Disney movie) was supposed to resemble Tom Cruise—the comments in this metaquotes post are great, even if the thought of him as the inspiration is horrific.
Also, I just wanted to spread the word about the Doctor Who Wedding Ficathon, located onchurchontime. The post where you can add prompts is located here—I might sign up once they post the full list.

1. Back in 2004, I made a fanfic rec for a crossover of Buffy/Ghostbusters. It’s still a great story. Thankfully, just in case any of the sites I found it on went down, I linked to them all. The only one left is the link that takes you to the third site, just so everyone knows. Who Ya Gonna Call, written by Kirasmommy. (No relation to Kira’s Mom, from Trek BBS)
2. Essay (written in 2006) about Tara Maclay, written foridol_reflection.
3. The only fanfic I've written I could think of to link to was Resurrections and Conflagrations. That's the Doctor Who fanfic I wrote for the OT3 ficathon. It was fun to write, and I think it turned out well.
4. The only other thing I could think of was Things Dick Grayson Is Not Allowed To Do.
