The Life on Mars (the American version) trailer has been released, and judging by most of the fandom, it’s horrific. You can see most of the wails of horror in this post at [personal profile] versaphile’s journal. Judging by the reaction, I don’t need to see the trailer—I wasn’t planning to watch the show on ABC anyway. For those who want to see it, the trailer is located here.

Moonlight and New Amsterdam have been canceled, according to TV Guide’s website, and at least one other site. More pick-ups and cancellations can be found there. I didn’t watch either show, but I know a few on my friends list did. Although, according to this article, Moonlight might be picked up by the CW.

I was very disappointed to hear of the cancellation of Moonlight, I've been enjoying it very much. But tell this ignorant non-American, waht's a CW?

And as for the US Life on Mars - I swim against the tide (which I tend to do anyhow, out of sheer bloodymindedness) because I plan to watch it, and judge it on what I see in an episode. It's quite likely to be crap, but I frequently find crap fascinating, so I shall, as I say, watch it and decide then. But yes, the fandom is sporfling and eye-gouging about it, and having a jolly good time.

I thought that trailer for US!LoM was a bit too...happy-ish. Or too comedy buddy-cop-ish not in the way John Simm and Phil Glenister ♥ were. They did try to replicate the lighting, though. At any rate, I shall watch it for the LOLARITY! factor.

I'm actually not too surprised at New Amsterdam, seeing as it went to pot quickly for me (I got bored fairly early, say episode 3) but I do sort of regret Moonlight, as every time I managed to catch it here (it's on cable where I am) I always found myself laughing really, really hard.
