RIP, Bernie Mac

Bernie Mac passed away today, due to complications stemming from pneumonia. He was 50. May he rest in peace.

Oh, and for those that liked him? (I’ve never seen anything he was ever in, apparently--thought I had.) You might not want to go into his IMDB message boards for a while--nasty stuff is going on.

Because I'm already in a bad mood, I wandered over to IMDB. How sad is it that I can't tell the difference between the trolls and the people who actually believe that they're saying? Used to be, someone hit a certain level of nasty and you could say "Oh. That's a troll. Never mind."

But I actually find myself wondering if the person who said "I don't think he was a Christian. At least something good might come of this if his family turns to Jesus after his death" is serious.

I think most of them might be trolls, but I agree--it's tough to tell over there.

The sickest one I saw the last I checked that page was probably something where someone said he could star in Weekend at Bernie's 3 now. Of course, I stopped reading after a certain point--somewhere between what you found and some racist comments--so it probably got worse than that.
