Bad TV Show...
Because I vaguely remembered a hysterical scene involving Christopher Lloyd, I have just spent an entire afternoon watching pretty much the end of every episode (and parts of the beginning) of Stacked, over on SurftheChannel.
My poor brain...
If you've never heard of it, it was on Fox back in 2005 for 2 seasons, and starred Pam Anderson, Christopher Lloyd, Marissa Jaret Winokur (on Dancing With The Stars, last season--I never knew her last name until now), and a few others whose names I don't know. I only watched it because of Christopher Lloyd.
I couldn't find the scene I was looking for, so it was probably somewhere in the middle. Although, I did find the great end credits scene where Christopher Lloyd explained college level physics to children, and then told them they would all die (possibly from the natural levels of radiation in the environment) eventually--it led to a room full of children sobbing in terror.
The scene I was trying to find involved Christopher Lloyd's character having a weird fantasy sequence where a robot or an alien walked into the bookstore/cafe. Anyone happen to know what episode that was?

The obscure sitcom scene I'd like to see again is a scene from Phyllis in the episode in which Bess brings her boyfriend's parents to dinner and they're little people. The next day Phyllis' coworker Leo asks Phyllis what's got her down. Phyllis says, "Bess wants to marry a boy whose parents are midgets." Leo says, "Oh. ...Has she found one yet?" Things deteriorate from there.
