As of 3 PM, my aunt still didn’t have power back (she was without power for 6 days and counting). However, she phoned to say that four workers, a service truck, and a few others just showed up.

At 4:30, she called back to say she finally had her power back.

In other news, Blackadder was just added to SurftheChannel. Is it worth watching? And in the movie section, they’ve added Ghost World--I’ve never seen it, so I don’t know if it’s good. All I know is that Thora Birch and Scarlett Johannson are in it.

They’ve also added the Turner Classic Movies restored version of London After Midnight. No print has ever been located since the last known one burned in a fire back in the 60's, so it’s just stills and pictures, with an introduction from Turner Classic Movies.

[personal profile] catvampcrazines is gathering Doctor/Donna related prompts with a theme of “relaxation” over here.

Also: Finally managed to get Meggan application finished for X-Journal, and I sent it in yesterday evening. The progress on that had been briefly stalled by all the real life issues.

Blackadder is great. Watch it. :-)

IMHO, Blackadder is one of the finest Britcoms ever. (and don't judge it by season/series 1 - which has its moments *g*, but 2,3 & 4 are simply superb).

So, yes, definitely worth watching. :)

Blackadder is completely worth watching! Heh. I think season 2 is my favorite, but they're all fun in their own way.

Well, at least once they showed up, they had the power back on in 1-1/2 hours. Small consolation, though.

Blackadder. Yes. A bit mean spirited but immensely funny. The first one is a little more slapstick, I guess, with Edmund being much more of a bumbler than in later series. Still worth the watch, though. (And you get the added bonus of Steven Fry in the second series, Hugh Laurie in the third, and Fry & Laurie in the fourth; you also get the guy who turned into an Ood in all of them but the third series).

Oh. No hot water. That's really much more horrible than people think it sounds. Ick.

Steven Fry is fantastic. Hugh Laurie isn't like on House; he's got a very diverse talent. In the 1980s, the two of them did a comedy series together where they did skits. It was hilarious. At least I thought so.

I adore Blackadder, but then again I have a thing for British comedies. But if you find them funny, or if you like Hugh Laurie, you'll probably like it. I was kind of 'eh' about Ghost World. I think maybe my expectations were just too high.
