And dumb rumors for the third Batman movie are going again: This one has Eddie Murphy as The Riddler, and Shia Lebouf as Robin. I like the suggestion someone out there made of David Tennant (complete with a great manip) as The Riddler—it would be better. Tennant as the Riddler and Rachel Weisz as Catwoman—that would be the best casting.

With 2 days remaining, I seem to be obsessively keeping track of yuletide’s main page, just to keep track of the number of stories uploaded. Looks like 414 as of this moment.

I keep watching the Yuletide page for the numbers and to see what fandoms are coming up. I squeal a little every time it's one I'm dying to read. :)

Considering Nolan is firmly anti-Robin that second rumor there is idiotic.

As is Bale, I believe. And after the disaster of the 90's movies, I couldn't see them repeating that mistake.

I think that was a stipulation of his contract for second and third movies: no Robin.

I don't know. Eddie Murphy, in his younger days, had that controlled manic quality that would have been perfect for The Riddler. If he can reach in and pull even a portion of that out, he should do really well.

There would be the issue, however, that Jim Carrey played the part several years ago. I don't quite know how they could ever work around that, unless maybe it somehow were to be established that Eddie Murphy had been some sort of original Riddler, and Carrey was some kind of protege/replacement (which sounds too much like the Batman/Robin thing, anyway.)

But, given that it's only a rumor (and that I'm not a Batman fan), I guess my words are largely irrelevant, lol.

Of course, Nolan's come out and said that anything before Batman Begins, didn't happen. So no Arnold (I can't spell his name!) as Mr. Freeze, we won't end up with Batgirl or Robin, and no Jim Carrey as the Riddler.

Lol, a part of me was actually considering it (despite the fact that I've never dared as of yet to write Whofic), but it looks like it's a little too late for me. :)
