And The New Doctor Is...Still Unknown

I just found out that the BBC will be announcing the person cast as the Eleventh Doctor on Saturday. Sooner than I expected—of course, I’m expecting my friends list to explode tomorrow, no matter if the pick is good or bad.

My Yuletide story (Because We’re Addamses) made the Yuletide Story Of The Day List, which is great to see. If I remember correctly, when I wrote a story in the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys fandom back in 2006, it never once made that list.

I love how the Dr Who announcement is all gender-ambiguous. Now I can't help hoping Donna Noble makes a comeback as the Doctor. Or Jenny...

It would really be funny, if only for Jack's reaction. Or The Master's, the next time they saw each other.

Then again, it might just turn into Curse of the Fatal Death, since Moffat's involved and it's a woman. Heh.

I've just literally ate all 4 seasons and 2 of Torchwood, I've been rewatching episodes for 2 weeks - but website wise I havent started looking into the fandom yet from that aspect. I have so much love for the show <3

Like all online fandoms, Who fandom is crae-crae. Mainly I just have Who friends and we talk Who amongst ourselves and stay out of larger communities except for fic-oriented and actor-oriented. Okay, well, I have this painful and self-destructive impulse to every now and then fling myself in to doctorwhoforum.com. But I wouldn't recommend it without a hazmat suit.

Who is front-page news in the UK though, so just look at an online UK newspaper tomorrow evening and it'll be there.

I can't believe they're going to make the announcement tomorrow!

I'm sure I'll be one of the ones that explodes, but I know eventually I'll get used to it. :)
