Internet Outage, And A Poll

Okay, someone somewhere snipped a cable, causing us to lose both internet and television. Mom called to tell them, and they said that since they were still working on getting it back for those that lost it 15 days ago, it could be up to a month before they got to us. Since the others come first.

Lo and behold, 30 minutes later, it was back.

In other news, somewhere down the line (likely later in the year, when the remnants of this ice storm are done) I’ve decided that I will apply over at this Inksome fairy tale RPG that I mentioned a while back. I just can’t decide which of the following characters would be best, since all four seem to have interesting potential storylines. So I’ve started a poll--vote for the one (or more) that you like best. A description of how Sherlock Holmes would be different is listed somewhere on this page--just scroll a little.

The scenario I saw (from when the game was hosted on GJ—I saw it moments before they pulled the plug on GJ, and saved the page) for Briar Rose (unless I want to change it—but it looks interesting now) was the following: “She gets rescued from her curse, but the lasting effect is that she keeps falling asleep at random moments and suffers from sleep paralysis, etc!” I would also think she would have a severe aversion to spinning wheels or knitting as a whole.

The scenario for Sherlock Holmes’ altered personality (as previously stated) for the game can be found in the link before the cut.

The scenario for Amalthea is that she’s somehow managed to become human again, but at certain times is able to be her unicorn self. A fault of Schmendrick’s magic.

The scenario idea I saw for The Little Mermaid (this would be the version where she turns into sea foam at the end, and not the Disney happy ending version) was the following: “At the end of the story she turns into a spirit or something who watches over the prince, maybe after spending years watching over the prince she realizes he's a jerk, decides it wasn't worth it, and tries to get a new body?”

There wasn’t a scenario that I could find for Snow White, but I’ll see what I can come up with at some point. It will likely involve her actually buried alive for a brief (an hour or two) time, rather than just in a glass coffin. So she would have an aversion to both apples, as well as an understandable fear of being buried alive again.

And now, the poll.
