LJ Seek

Has anyone else been having trouble getting LJ Seek to work in the last couple of days? I can get to the page to type things in, but it stops and won't show any results when I tell it to search.

Also, another question on a similar note. Does anyone know of any sites that search through LJ, that are similar to LJ Seek?

If you want to search a specific LJ you could use Google's domain specific search via the Advanced Search option...

No, it's not a specific journal. I just tended to use LJ Seek, when I needed to find icons or posts about certain X-Men characters, or whatever other fannish things it was.

Haven't had any luck with LJ Seek for ages now, but that just may be. Since people have been able to block searches in their account settings I don't get many results for myself.

Don't know of any other sites, but I'll second the option for Google advanced options.

There's blogpulse (http://www.blogpulse.com), which isn't exclusively for LJ, but works pretty much like LJSeek otherwise. I've had some luck with them in the past.

I don't use it, but I have had a bit of trouble changing from my RPG account, which I only started again yesterday. No problems at all getting on that account, but trying to get back on to my main account is a pain. I have no idea why...

Maybe lj was having a crappy day?
