Fannish Items Of Interest

Bryan Fuller is trying to get a new Star Trek series off the ground. By the way, does anyone know if there’s an LJ feed for Den Of Geeks articles? I know there are ones for Cracked.com, Io9 and Sci-Fi Wire, but I haven’t heard about one for Den Of Geeks.

For the Supernatural fans on my friends list, there’s a new Smart Pop essay book that focuses on the show.

Found via [community profile] doctorwho: a Dalek was found at the bottom of a lake.

And prompts are now open for claiming over at [community profile] lgbtfest--which I only just heard of today, I believe. The fandoms include the Buffyverse, Life on Mars, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly, Highlander, and a ton of others.

I think they must've just opened prompts today - I put one in at the last possible minute yesterday.

Yeah, someone from [livejournal.com profile] who_daily must be keeping tabs on Den of Geek for newslettering purposes, but I don't know if it has a syndicated account. It shouldn't be difficult to create one, however, as long as DoG has an RSS feed and the feed's creator has a Paid (or Permanent) account.

This is me not signing up for any of those prompts because I have Things to Do. And I haven't written fic in approximately forever.

But maybe I'll keep an eye on the Willow/Tara prompts.Just in case, ya know?

Re: the Dalek head: Hah! I'll bet some claustrophobic actor had had enough and pitched that sucker into the lake as soon as the shoot was done.
