fic_tossed is a new group that’s a spin-off of cot_tossed. You can submit a link to one of your Doctor Who stories in this post, and they will give a brutally honest review of it to help you become a better writer. I went ahead and gave them a link to one of the first Doctor Who stories I wrote, back in 2007. Resurrections and Conflagrations—I was torn between that one, and the most recent one (Let’s Do The Time Warp Again) that I wrote before finally settling on it.

The primary problem I have with fic_tossed is that reviews are not (nor should they be) written with the improvement of the author in mind. Reviews are sample opinions that let other consumers know whether or not something is worth reading/viewing/experiencing. A reviewer's audience is not the creator of the work and their goal is not for the creator to improve. This is why most artists don't read their own reviews.

Actually fic_tossed is the public version of cot_tossed - ie. the reviewers have outted themselves instead of hiding behind anonymous socks.
