For those that might be interested, someone is looking to give away their two X-Men centered websites. They are Goblinesque (a site dedicated to Madelyne Pryor) and Sorceress Supreme (a site dedicated to Illyana Rasputin).

I’ve seen the news of this elsewhere, but it’s still baffling. Nicholas Cage will star in a remake of Fantasia. A live action film (also starring Alfred Molina) called The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Morena Baccarin will be in the ABC remake of V.

And a meme (the You Make My Day Meme) that I’ve only just gotten around to doing:

And...wha? A remake of Fantasia/the Sorcerer's Apprentice starring Cage and Molina? That sounds...somewhat cracky. Mostly because even though I've seen them in other things, Molina=Doc Oc and Cage=National Treasure dude, so I'm picturing him as a mad sorcerer with 8 limbs towering over Cage, his National Treasure-hunting apprentice who only opened the book and chanted the incantation because he was looking for a clue that would prove Millard Filmore was secretly the most fascinating president we ever had, but he had to keep it all under wraps so we wouldn't find the time travel machine he, Brigham Young, and Victor Hugo invented, which they used to go back in time and save the world from a race of sentient brooms that threatened to flood the whole world.

...I might have just broken my own brain.

And mine--and when the time machine came into the equation, I could just see the Tenth Doctor appearing in his TARDIS, running over to the guy, and screaming the Reapers were coming thanks to him.

...and he would go on some sort of tangent involving Paul Revere, wishing that he still had his trusty horse (from Girl In The Fireplace) Arthur.

I've never "got" Nicholas Cage. His performences are exactly the same in everything I've seen him in. I've never quite grasped how he managed to reach the stardom he has. I don't see the appeal looks wise, either.

Nor have I--I've just never cared for him as an actor, and tend to avoid his movies. The only movie of his that I ever liked was National Treasure.

I would like to get around to seeing Moonstruck but that's because of Cher. The only Cage movie I've ever truly liked was It Could Happen To You, which was actually rather adorable. Otherwise I don't get the guy and I'm disappointed to hear he's starring in this Fantasia thing because it sounds like the cracky sort of movie I'd be interested in...if anyone else were in it.
