Fannish Items of Interest

For the Paul McGann fans out there, The Sci-Fi Channel is airing Fairy Tale: A True Story at 10 AM, CST.

If you had me under your command and could make me write anything , regardless of whether or not I know the fandom or if anybody even writes fic in that fandom for Doctor Who/Torchwood, no matter how crack-addled it might be, what would you love to see me write?

If anyone could come up with a Doctor and Donna prompt, or something involving Jack or Martha, that would be great.

The 10 Worst Comic Book Vacation Destinations.

10 Greatest Science Fiction Show Endings Ever. A couple of the shows I've never seen before, but #1 is Life on Mars. Doctor Who is on the list for Survival. And all I can think of is Sylvester McCoy screaming "If we fight like animals, we DIE LIKE ANIMMAAAALLLLSSSS!"

I take exception to the first list's inclusion of Themyscira. There are days when that sounds like a great vacation spot to me.

They seem to be assuming a male readership. It's a great vacation spot for a woman!

Donna must use pie to save the Doctor from a tiny alien race that have used a shrink ray on him and imprisoned him in their ship with other assorted animals and sentient beings.

While on a mission for Torchwood, he is catapulted into a French monastery in the Middle Ages. He has to find a way back to the 21st century, but he keeps getting distracted by certain monks...until he uncovers the sinister plot of an alien monk, and must save the world using champagne.

I particularly like the idea of Jack saving the world with booze. XD

Fairy Tale is a rather charming little movie. Also notable for a good performance by young Florence Hoath (Nancy in "The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances"). :)

(Useless information. I has it.)

Prompts, hum? How about... Donna/Martha/Jack, drinking buddies. The best OT3 that never was, dude.

Sylvester McCoy screaming "If we fight like animals, we DIE LIKE ANIMMAAAALLLLSSSS!"

The following flashed across my mind like a flashback from a bad acid trip the other day and it won't get out:

Mindy, the little girl from "Mindy & Buttons" on Animaniacs --- the one who always tells her mother "OK, lady" when her mother tells her to play with the dog---, saying in that squeeky, loud voice of hers, "If we fight like aminuls, we'll die like aminuls. Okay. I love you. Bye-bye."

Drawing a blank on prompts for you. Sorry.

Last episode ever until Eccleston, and Seven yells that immortal line twice. Very entertaining.
