Fannish Items Of Interest

24 Sci-Fi Archaeologists

6 Evil Henchmen Who Were Terrible At Their Job

From Io9: 25 Other Names The Sci-Fi Channel Could Rebrand With. #25 is my favorite, since it’s true.

There’s a new “I’m a Marvel…And I’m a DC” for those that are interested. This time, it’s between Dr. Manhattan and Wolverine.

TV Shows That Didn’t Cut It Across The Pond. One of them is Coupling—which I very briefly heard about, but never saw. Completely by accident, I stumbled across this odd scene shortly after watching Death at a Funeral. The clip seemed funny--although it really looked like a Friends rip-off.

Coupling is absolutely brilliant -- some people find it a bit anti-feminist, but I love how there's a difference in how the men talk to one another, how the women talk to one another, and how the men and women talk to one another, which shifts depending on their relationship. What Moffat clearly loves writing about is relationships, which is one reason I'm looking forward to his stint on Who.

Is it my imagination, or is Moffat not the kind of writer who shrinks from making his characters come off a bit...well, bitchy?
