I was just friended by two journals. Both were made on the exact same day, both are friends locked, and both only contain spam. I’ve banned them from commenting here.

ETA: I see that one of those that randomly friended me has been suspended.

Harold Ramis on Ghostbusters III--apparently, it’s being written now. It can’t possibly be as good as the original. Besides, they already did the older Ghostbuster mentoring the new crowd with Extreme Ghostbusters.

You can always report spammers and bots who friend you to the LJ abuse team; they're generally pretty good about responding.

Hm. I've been friended at random by some Russian LJ. Unfortunately I have no idea if said LJ is genuine or not - I don't speak Russian. Hopefully by not friending the LJ back I have kept it at a certain remove...

While this journal hasn't been friended by random Russian people, my x_meggan journal has been a few times. I don't speak Russian, either, no I've never known what it was.

Yeah, it's a little weird. Some total stranger just friended both my fic journal and my real life journal. Considering how different they are, I am wondering if they are a spammer or bot, even though they have some detail info about themselves on their profile page.
