Writer's Block: Grimm Question

I'm trying to remember--I tended to prefer the ones that didn't have happy endings, and were a little dark. And, going by the fact that I loved Snow White: A Tale of Terror, that still holds true these days--fairy tales with much more horror.
I really don't know. Going by Faerie Tale Theatre, it might have been The Snow Queen. I vividly remember checking out a book about The Twelve Dancing Princesses over and over when I was 4 or 5, but that probably wasn't my favorite.
