Fannish Items of Interest

NBC is ordering six more episodes of Chuck, in addition to the 13 already ordered.

What If Zombies Ate Most Of The Mystery Team? Apparently, the only survivors would be Velma and Scooby. You need to read the comments as well--if you can’t see all of them, you’ll have to go to the bottom of the page and click on Show Hidden Threads.

Syfy plans to do an American version of Being Human. That can’t end well.

-Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
-I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
-Update your journal with the answers to the questions
-Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1) One fictional character you'd like to show up in the Whoniverse, and which show.

Maybe Castle, if only to see his reaction to The Master, The Doctor, or Jack. Knowing him, he might start asking The Master what methods of torture/murder he’s used, and if there’s something unique he can use for his next book.

2) Who do you think Jack the Ripper was?

I have no idea, but I do love reading and watching some of the documentaries and speculation.

3) Favorite role of Derek Jacobi's.

It would have to be the only thing I have ever seen him in--as The Master/Professor Yana in Utopia, in addition to his voicework as the Master in Scream of the Shalka.

4) Fantasy role you'd like to see Derek Jacobi do.
I would love to see him as Moriarty. He really seems like he would be able to pull off the character rather well.

5) How the heck do you keep up with that size of a flist and communities list?

All I can say is that I’m a frighteningly fast reader, and always have been. It’s usually skip=300 or slightly more each morning, unless syndicated feeds are down, in which case it’s around skip=240.

That can’t end well.

The understatement of the century.

Some other Jacobi stuff is on DVD. He's absolutely brilliant. He may have even done Moriarty at some point, but I'm not sure...
