Weird Morning

Shortly before 8 AM, the power went out. That isn't good, since my house desperately needed the air conditioning. It's over 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and humid.

After about an hour, the power finally came back on. I suspect that someone had an accident and hit a nearby powerline, since the blackout affected the entire neigborhood.

Also, while shopping at the Mile High Comics website, I had a sudden flashback of some old comics I used to borrow from a neighbor to read. I found and bought them. It was called "DC Comics Who's Who: Definitive Directory of the DC Universe." Why I suddenly remembered that, I'll never know.

Wow, that is hot. It's been hot in the UK this last week, bleurgh and the sun is too dazzling with the lack of ozone layer. Nasty. I used to love DC comics, but my most prized possession was the Marvel Spiderman #1. Wish I had it now, it's a collector's item worth over a grand. I bet I swapped it for another comic damnit. Dxxoo

Darn it. Makes you wish you'd have kept it for sure. Oh well. I could never get into the Hulk. Dunno why. I liked everybody else though. Few things about different heroes used to niggle, like Wonder Woman's stupid invisible plane; why couldn't she just fly like any other decent super hero? ::snerk::

Oh definitely Batman. I had some of the early comics, black and white. Very interesting. I really wish I'd kept them all. I liked all the Superman, woman, boy, girl, bizarro etc., and Fantastic Four and Legion of Superheroes and I'd read anything I could get my hands on basically. I told my son there was one called Green Lantern and he didn't believe me! :D

Ooops, is that the time, must away home for my tea (I'm at my sisters). Bye for now. Dxxoo
