I managed to get an invite to Archive Of Our Own, so I’m ready for uploading my Yuletide fanfic. Does anyone know if people are allowed to do that early, or does it have to be a certain time frame only?

And this last question is from Mom—she said to ask my friends list if they know of anywhere to find half-socks from a name brand I believe was called Miss Match. They were usually in two colors—heel a dark color, and the rest of the sock something else. She used to buy them from a store called the Hanes Factory Outlet in an Eddyville outlet mall. That outlet mall is basically a ghost town now—formerly 30 or so stores, now just one left. That Hanes store was the only place she could ever find them, since other places had never heard of them. Any ideas?

We don't know how the "Collection" part of the code is supposed to work, or how you would keep it secret if you upload now.

So my guess is that it is not okay to upload yet.

They're updating the archive right now with the Yuletide code. You can't just upload to the regular archive and tag it Yuletide. There'll be a specific yuletide interface. I'm betting it'll be announced shortly.

When I tried to look them up, I kept getting a short-lived series, as well as a cartoon.

Were these socks intentionally made to look mismatched in design but complimentary in color? If so, there's a company out of Vermont that makes them. I can't remember the name now, but I'm going to go shopping on Saturday and I'll stop at the gift store down the road that carries them and will make a note to myself to let you know the company's name. The socks are pricey, but 100% cotton that's really thick --- they last a long time.

They were intentionally mismatched, but they weren't expensive. There was one pair that had a black heel, and the rest was green, so not always complimentary. Thanks to the link beeej posted, she was able to find them again and also get a catalog with more, so there's no need for you to track them down. Thank you for offering, though.
