The 9 Nerdiest Nutcrackers For The Holidays.

This next one should probably be avoided if you are avoiding all casting spoilers for Doctor Who, and haven't seen the trailers. For anyone that hasn’t seen it yet, you can see how a certain character in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special is being held in something straight out of Silence of the Lambs. He just seems so happy about it, too. Oh, and for those avoiding spoilers—don’t read the bit towards the bottom of the Io9 article, since it contains a few vague ones. Nothing really specific, though.

Uploading to Yuletide is now open, and the instructions can be found here. I’ve now uploaded mine, and from what I can tell I was the 109th person to do so. Although, when editing is allowed again (because right now it unscreens the story for everyone, apparently) I need to add something to the author’s notes—and then thank all my beta readers once stories are revealed, when we’re allowed to add that.

::headdesk:: Yes, I'm an idiot. I'm the idiot that makes the Yuletide mods bang their heads against the walls. I completely ignored the gigantic bolded message not to edit the story once posted. I just hope they don't kill me.

I doubt they will. From what I've read in the comments, quite a few people did the same thing, and at least one person accidentally didn't add it to the Yuletide2009 section. Which meant their recipient was sent a message saying they now had a story. It was promptly fixed, and sent to the right section and hidden, as I understand it.
