Fannish Items of Interest
14 Incredibly Disturbing Moments In Kids’ Movies. The 80’s version of Alice in Wonderland makes the list. Fantasia’s Night on Bald Mountain sequence never bothered me—it was pretty much the only thing I liked about that movie. I’ve never seen Willy Wonka, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, The Black Cauldron, Scruffy, or The Dark Crystal. I think the only version of Pinocchio that I’ve seen was Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night. They really should have added Return to Oz to the list.
Io9 interviews Zack Stentz and Ashley Edward Miller about X-Men: First Class. Best part? A joking mention of how interesting it would be if Bruce Campbell played every character, including the X-Jet.
Firefly: 10 Things We Didn’t Know About The Series.
whedonesque discusses the list here.
Pretty much all the churches in the area are going to be collecting donations for those in Nashville. And any items people want to donate will be accepted now through Saturday at the local Popeye’s Chicken. From there, it’s sent on to Nashville.
Oh, and
errant_jane has a list of relevant links for other ways to help, over here.
icepixie linked to this video of someone catching a fish in the middle of the flooded street.

I ask because they're doing a new series of four stories, about the Four Horsemen, which will be out later this year, according to the BF podcast I listened to yesterday.

ETA: Did a check around, and I think I'm right. Adrian Paul's almost the only one there. If you go to the Wikipedia entry for Highlander: The Series, and then click on Audio Plays, you should get the short list of the ones already out.
