Weird Day

So far, today's just been weird. After I commented that nothing I tried worked, suddenly I am able to get to that icon site again. And now I can get to the Wiki again...due to a slight case of paranoia, I don't want to close the pages for either. Heh.

Meanwhile, I just found out that everyone will have the water turned off on this street tomorrow morning, so the sewer system can be worked on. For 10 hours. How did we find this out? They stuck a note on the door outside an hour ago and ran away. It's a miracle it didn't blow away. If anyone needs to do anything that involves water, or use the bathroom, to the other house we go!

As Mom had planned to wash clothes tomorrow, she's hurrying and doing it all right now.

What happens to me, usually, is that I get either the 401 error (or another, ore concerning, wiki does not exist error) until I shut off my modem and manually repair my Internet connection.

I'm not sure what this does exactly, but I'm think it either clears some digital cache or else it boots off any hijackers who might be playing the redirect game on my laptop. I still haven't been able to find a good cure though andd I'm not doing any Internet banking until I do!

(actually, I'm thinking I'm just not doing anything finance related with this computer ever again)
