x_project related: I’m thinking that Meggan would end up doing the test for her learner’s permit on Friday--so if she passes, she would then have the weekend to celebrate. That, and getting it out of the way for her before school starts up again, so that all she needs to worry about on that front is learning to actually drive. I actually dug through New York's DMV site, and decided which questions (out of 20) she would most likely get wrong.

While the baffling flaws in SF technology one was fun, I think for me the real win in it was the link at the end to another article: 5 real historical death stars, complete with baffling flaws (http://www.cracked.com/article_18679_5-real-historical-death-stars-complete-with-baffling-flaws.html). I don't think I knew about any of them, and all were fascinating.
