Fannish Items of Interest

There’s a chance that Hilary Duff might be in the Spider-Man reboot. That is one way to keep me far away from it if that’s true.

A first look at January Jones as Emma Frost.

Here are the first shots of Captain America’s costume—it’s not Chris Evans wearing the costume, it’s his stunt double. [profile] noscans_daily pointed out it looks similar to the awful 90’s version.

There have been a few Hobbit rumors going around. First it was that Martin Freeman was asked to play Bilbo, and turned it down to continue as Watson in Sherlock. Then it was that he was never asked. Now the rumor is he’s being asked again.

Clint Eastwood says he was offered the role of Superman, before it eventually went to Christopher Reeve.

I lost track of how many actresses were rumored! I am half expecting them to replace the actresses every week now until the day of the premiere.

Also, I kinda want that hat.

All right, I feel stupid. All day I've been seeing that story pop up and every time, I have read it as Morgan Freeman.

I suspect in re: Freeman, that this is the standard sort of fantasy-casting that goes on when a movie is in Development Hell. More concerning is the threat I overheard from Ian McKellen that if the film's bigwigs don't straighten up and fly right they'll have to do without him as Gandalf. Which would be a shame.

I certainly agree that Freeman is very hobbit-y. As Bilbo? Not certain.

Ohgod, I know they're going period of the film but. But. Why did that period have to be the late 60's? White patent boots were painful enough the first time.
