Fannish Items of Interest

[profile] blognewsarama has this strange moment from the Thanksgiving Day parade in 1989. Most of the Marvel characters of the era dance around a float, as someone sings I Need A Hero. I think I finally figured out why Emma Frost (Deborah Norville mistakes her for Wonder Woman—hard mistake to make, since they don’t look anything alike) is there at all. Pryde of the X-Men aired in September of that same year, so maybe they were trying to plug that? I’m really reaching here, but that’s all I can come up with.

Io9 linked to Vincent Price’s The Last Man On Earth—it’s hosted on Google Video, since it’s in the public domain.

Part 2 of Obscurus Lupa’s She-Wolf of London review can be found here, and part 3 is here.

The BBC is considering a fifth season of Merlin.

10 TV series that you can watch in one weekend instead of shopping

From Cracked: 5 Ways Television Went Crazy Since The Author Quit Watching In 2003.

ETA: As of 4 PM, I believe I have finished my Yuletide fanfic. 3869 words in total. I have a title. I've located the two continuity errors I accidentally made, and fixed them. I've done a quick spell check. I have it on external hard drive and on this computer, just in case anything happens. I'll look over it again tomorrow, do whatever I need to do, and then begin the process of sending it on to a beta reader.

Heeee, this weekend I actually spent it marathoning Cowboy Bebop instead of doing some shopping. *Lack of internet killing me*
