I'm fine with being told beforehand. When Mom hands it over, she tells me what it is. That's just something we've always done. This year, a pair of socks, which is what I always end up getting anyway.
In other news, I just got the results back from when I went to the doctor on Tuesday. With the holidays, that's faster than I expected them to arrive. My iron (hemoglobin) count is still doing well, at 14.7.
