My Day So Far....

This morning, my cat brought a baby mouse. My mom killed it. Then, we discovered the cat had a tick on her. No matter what we did, it would not die.

Finally, my mom put the tick in a bowl, put the bowl in the sink, and set it on fire. That worked, and it is now ashes.

Shortly before my mom and I went out to eat, the cat brought a bird. It was a baby, but managed to get away.

She always does that. It's very strange.

When we got to the restaurant, what do we see? A huge bus for "The Outdoor Channel". I think I probably got on TV, but I'm not sure. I couldn't find the cameras.

Let's hope nothing else happens. It isn't even noon yet where I live.

Advice from a Tick Magnet

Burning's good. You can rip them in half if you're not squeamish. Or stab them with something pointy. But they just don't squish for anything. Unless they're full of blood and that's pretty disgusting.

Okay...sorry. You don't even know me and I've probably freaked you out. LOL I detest the ugly little monsters myself. Sometimes I think they're stalking me.

Ack! Having visions of ticks with body armor. Going to hide under the bed now.

*shudder* I had a hard enough time with the cartoon and The Tick was supposed to be a SuperHero.

Best thing to do with a tick is flush it down the toilet. Burning them is smelly, and riping them in half is iky. *shudders*

Tip for removing tick from animal

Soaking a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and then rubbing the tick with it will usually make the tick let go. Just be careful not to get a lot of the alcohol on the animal's skin.

I don't know if that'll kill it though but it should make it let go.

I had a tick on me the other day...I was out in the garden, and it just jumped on me. I felt it trying to burrow into my leg, but I got it.

My kitties get ticks all the time, despite the medicine I give them. Flushing them is the easiest way to kill them.
