Ernie Hudson is joining the cast of Torchwood: Miracle Day.

According to the latest news post, for those with free accounts, you can have a paid account now for free for 2 weeks as a trial offer. You can then have 30 icons, and after the 2 weeks are up, you get to keep the 30 icons. Since I’m unable to do a paid account (or extra icons) due to lack of funds, I’m doing this for the x_meggan journal. So I can add back a few of the icons I had to delete before, when I needed to use a different icon.

It's far better than going off to beg for spare tokens someday, so I'm pleased.

Looks like they're still ironing out the bugs on the free-paid accounts, but still, yay!

I'm trying to figure out what happens if you already have an icon extension. it says you can't buy an icon extension when you have the free trial account but what if you have one previous? Would I have 60 icons for two weeks (and get to keep them after!?) or would it just give me the ability to edit posts for a bit... (and possibly mess up my extra icons somehow).

I went digging through all 400 or so comments, and so far I haven't found out an answer to that one. All I've found out is that once you do the trial offer one time, it can never be done again--you just keep the extra icons. I don't know what happens if you already bought extra icons.

ETA: Oh, wait. Closest I've found is on page 12 of the dw_news post. A question by nina_nicky. They say they had 70 icons uploaded last time they bought a paid account. Those went inactive. When they activated the trial offer, 30 icons reactivated, as is correct in that case. So the other 40 wouldn't if the paid account has expired. But if they aren't expired, they probably won't.

I went digging too and came up with the same. I suppose I could be logical and actually post the question (I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering) but... blerg.
