Checking In
All my thoughts to those in Alabama, and anywhere else the tornadoes have hit. ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cleolinda has terrifying pictures of the Alabama tornadoes here. This morning, I remembered that an elderly woman Mom has known (and is pen pals with, since the woman wouldn’t use cell phones or a computer) since the 70’s may have been in one of the places hit, but we aren’t sure. We know she went to live with her daughter, and that would have been somewhere very close to where everything went down.
If anyone else on my friends list was stuck in or near this, please check in.
The final storm pushed through here at 6 PM yesterday, and lasted about 10-15 minutes. Sideways rain, crashing thunder, high winds--but no tornadoes or hail. Randomly, a rainbow popped up when it ended. Everyone was able to go to bed later for some uninterrupted and sorely needed sleep. And now, that’s it until Sunday, when it’s just a regular shower--followed by nothing for a few more days, as a break from everything.
