Well, That Was Weird

For about 45 minutes, the sky was the weirdest hue. Extremely bright orange/red, as though there was a massive fireball nearby. If you've seen Night of the Comet, it looked exactly like that. Dad located an old digital camera, but it refused to show up on that.

If the sky is green, that's a sign of hail. I'm really not sure what this was, but it definitely wasn't a normal sunset. It cleared up five minutes ago, and the sky was blue again.

And then all the dogs in the neighborhood started howling for two minutes.

(Mom jokingly blamed Nellie, especially after a glitch somehow caused Nellie's porchlight to go on for the length of time this occurred, without anyone touching it.)

ETA: Huh. It was mentioned on the local news, since they're very close to where we are. A reporter said she tried to take pictures, but it just wouldn't show up for her camera phone, or her regular camera.

...Any new limbs? Do you hear any strange voices? Any uncontrollable urges to take over your neighborhood? ;)

Mass hypnosis? Something hallucinogenic in the water?

How strange.
Though I guess it just shows that human eyes are still superior to modern lenses in low-light conditions.

The sky turns green before tornadoes. I remember from the Omaha tornado of 1975, which as of ten years ago was the eighth worst in history.

Very strange. We did just have an asteroid flyby, but I don't think that was it.
