Weather Weirdness, Dreamwidth, And More
Around 2 PM yesterday, we had a weird meteorological effect. It looked like there were three suns. One real, two (obviously) not, but still very bright. Across the two fake ones were two separate miniature rainbows. The local news said it was called a Sundog, caused by ice crystals. It lasted about an hour. Here’s a better example that I found, following a quick Google search. (Upon hearing this via phone, Dad asked if the freezing cold had done things to us. No. Not quite.)
For anyone thinking of migrating to Dreamwidth, (or just having a back-up journal just in case they wish to be ready for the next outage) due to the issues that have been plaguing Livejournal lately, I’m calliopes_pen over there. Also, if you only want me to follow you on Dreamwidth and not LJ anymore, just let me know.
There's talk of my sister being sent home by the hospital, despite her not being any better. Eight hours after she gets some more blood, which was supposed to be this morning. They're still waiting on that (or were, as of 1:45 PM). We'll see what happens there, since the flesh eating stuff spread a bit further (and peripheral edema wasn't down at all) last I heard, despite the gauze wrapped around her head to halt the stuff oozing. They just want her to go to a wound care place, and walk a bit (which she can't do).
ETA: Correction: They started giving her blood around 2:05 PM, so they'll probably let her out around 10 PM.
