James Avery has passed away at the age of 65. May he rest in peace. He was reportedly in the hospital “for surgery to treat an undisclosed illness, but his condition took a turn for the worse.” While he is best known for his role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I also remember him as the voice of Shredder in the 80’s version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also provided voice work for Real Ghostbusters, and many other shows.
