X-Men: Days of Future Past

I went to see Days of Future Past by myself yesterday afternoon, at the 1:15 PM 2D Digital showing. Or, rather, 1:45, due to 30 minutes of previews, and random commercials.

Due to a particularly urgent need, (four glasses of tea before going since it was 90 degrees, you figure it out) I left the minute the end credits began. I already knew the gist of what happened in the end credits scene, and I located a low quality version of it a couple hours ago on Youtube.

Without spoiling (spoilers are welcome in the comments, though) anything, I will say that I loved it.

I think I'm going to go try to see it this afternoon while I'm trying to flip my sleeping schedule. So, I may be a little loopy, but I figure that could only help an X-Men flick. : )

I enjoyed First Class, but I think the franchise is so ingrained in my childhood that I'll never be really satisfied with these adaptations. It was the first comic series and real story line I ever followed. Rogue and Gambit were my first star-crossed lovers. And after Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gambit/Bobby Drake was some of the first fic I read.

I loved it too and would enjoy chatting about it!

I haven't been able to find any LJ comms dedicated to it. :(

iirc, a bunch of them were the various aides and such in the bunker with the President. ;)

What Deathpike said. I'm so sorry but I couldn't recognize Claremont if he knocked on my door. :)

Times like this I wish LJ were not so dead. Where on earth do X-men fans hang out now?? I wonder if there's a comm on Reddit.

LJ is beyond dead. I thought maybe everything is friends-lock but nope. Just dead, dead, dead. If anyone has recs or links, feel free to share!

My friend told me when he went to the showing everyone applauded when Storm was killed. For me at my showing everyone applauded when Scott briefly showed up at the end end.
