Completed The Sign-Up, Tiny Issue About The Letter

Okay, I’ve been reading through Dear Yuletide letters, and I realized that I really need to find a way to just make links that separately jump down to each fandom part of the letter--like this letter has at the beginning, or this one. I just have no idea how to do that outside of a simple LJ cut.

I always have the Disable Auto-Formatting checkbox ticked, so I might have to turn that off to figure it out. I don't know yet.

I’m going to go through the Dreamwidth FAQ, and see about trying to have something vaguely similar worked out by the time sign-ups close, so that my poor writer doesn’t end up being forced to scroll forever. I want them to be able to just hop on down to the correct section.

I have also officially completed the sign-up portion, and submitted it, so there’s that done aside from last minute edits. I’ll go through the tag set again later and see if I missed something I would love to write--and I will continue glancing through each Dear Yuletide letter that gets posted for the same ends. Currently, it’s five fandoms with three in the Bucket List for a total of eight that I've signed up as willing to do.

ETA: Mystery solved! Thank you, [personal profile] alexseanchai. I have the first one jumping down to Dracula--Bram Stoker in my letter, and now I'm off to work on the rest.

ETA 2: And there we go. Everything jumps straight to that particular section of the letter on Dreamwidth now.

If you don't want to mess with making anchor tags you can also just use the links for the cuts, which are already anchors - write the post as usual, and then when you click on the cut you will go to that cut's own URL, and then you can go back and edit those in as links.
