Inactive Account Purge

It appears that Insanejournal is purging journals that have been inactive for 2 years or more. Some of these I haven't even looked at in so long. A couple were made for a game that started on Greatestjournal--or at least, I think so--which never made it over to Insanejournal after all. Just going by the fact there's a now long dead link to an RPG application, which was somewhere on Greatestjournal and is now lost in the void.

The last time I made a post under my own username over there looks to have been in August of 2010. Since I basically remain logged in with that one via Firefox and take a peek around every few months, it comes through without an inactivity notice.

In another one, I spotted that I had uploaded some user icons others had made from the first issue of the original team of Excalibur. So prior to the permanent deletion of that journal, I saved the icons, and uploaded them Dreamwidth. Nothing was there to be saved in the rest, and it's fine for them to join the list of the deleted.

Kitty! Kurt!

I haven't read Excalibur. I really should.

I highly recommend the original series for it, with the team being Kurt, Kitty, Meggan, Rachel Summers, and Brian Braddock. I'm reasonably certain they tried to revive the comic with other characters either one or two other times. I didn't really follow those attempts, so I can't recommend them.

And here's the other icon I rescued, which looks a bit maudlin, but rather beautiful to me. It's still Kitty from the issue. I also need to correct myself, for that's not issue #1, but it is the first appearance of them as a team. Excalibur Special Edition #1, from 1987.

I had to undelete my IJ just so I could take a look at what I had in there. I had 3 entries from 2007 (from some sort of LJ outage) and nothing else. Oh well, it's active now.

It was probably Strikethrough, if not a different LJ problem, since I found an icon regarding that in my main account over there, too. It dates back to the right time frame.

Thank you fro the reminder about InsaneJournal. I'd forgotten I even had an account there much less 3 communities. I need to log in soon and update.
