calliopes_pen | Another Appliance Bites The Dust, Plus A Poll Glitch

Does anyone know a good brand of microwave that will last a while? Our current microwave picked today to finally die. And according to something Mom found, it had lasted since 1991--so it was a good brand, apparently, if it lasted 17 years.

Behind the microwave, we also discovered an ancient box of Jiffy cornbread mix, from around the same year. It quickly went in the trash.

I went to see how the Catseye PB poll was doing over on Insanejournal--and apparently, I broke the poll when I edited something else in the entry earlier. That’s the only thing I can think of that would make it vanish entirely. Or it could be a glitch with IJ. Whatever it is, I’m moving the poll, commentary, and links here, and trying again. Oh, and I'm aware the link to the Catseye X-Journal entry is messed up--apparently, they're having problems, based on what I've been reading. At some point, I’m planning to apply to X-Journal as Catseye (I eventually decided that I just couldn’t apply as Meggan there, if I didn’t fully understand her non-shapeshifting elemental powers--plus, I love Catseye so much more). To that end, I’ve gone around and come up with a rather long list of PB possibilities for her. Beneath the cut, you’ll see links to all of them--simply vote for as many as you think work for the character.

Each link shows how they look with purple hair/purple eyes. I did the best I could with that, but there’s bound to be smudges on them in places. Just ignore that.
