Poor Jonathan had all that mind control and possession going on with him, to the point that writing him clawing his way free from the servant was simply fun. Mina skirted the edge of the supernatural claiming her as well when she was by herself--writing her rejection of Dracula after seeing what she might become was a good moment for her and something that I enjoyed writing late in the beta reading process.
