Thanks to all the input from everyone--I downloaded Firefox, and it seems to be working fine for me so far.
Over at The AV Club,
they’re discussing movies that scarred them for life as a child. Here’s a quote from the one that I can really relate to. The one I can really relate to in those comments is Return to Oz. Ghostbusters never bothered me when I was 4, but that’s only because Dad edited out the bits that would scare me, and made two tapes. One was unedited, and one wasn’t. The unedited one was accidentally taped over, but I finally saw that version on HBO around the age of 8 or 9. Rather than being scared when Dana gets dragged into the kitchen and possessed, I loved it. Those Terror Dogs were the cutest things to me, even when I was 4. (Yes, I was a strange child...)
Other than those, I would add to the list: Mr. Boogedy, Bride of Boogedy, the 1985 version of Alice in Wonderland with Carol Channing, The Witches, the Unico movies, The Last Unicorn, and Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer. The Bunyip section of Dot and the Kangaroo. Hugga-Bunch. I remember a two-part My Little Pony episode called Return to Tambelon (or something like that) that was a bit scary back then...
In other news, I have a very weird computer problem. I need to change the screen settings to 1024 X 768 so that I can use a Ulead program. It is currently 800 X 600, since I like it better that way. When I go to the Display Properties menu to change it, and hit apply, no matter what I do it stays at 800 X 600, and doesn’t go any higher. Any ideas for how to fix that? Nothing else anywhere is wrong. Just that one tiny thing. I restarted the computer three times, and that hasn’t changed it.
