Doctor Who, And A Random Poll
During the long wait for an upload of Voyage of the Damned (still looking, actually, and refreshing my friends list every so often--and avoiding spoilers in the meantime) I got a little bit bored and decided I would do a poll on who would work best for Doug Ramsey, aka Cypher, if I ever wanted to play him anywhere. I doubt I will, so this poll is just for fun.
[Poll #1111270]
For an older Doug--if the poor guy ever managed to survive anywhere--I had the idea of Alan Tudyk.
There’s also a vaguely meme type of thing floating around my friends list--writing drabbles for today. Since it’s Christmas, I’m making a drabble offer to my friends list. I’m willing to write you a drabble in the following fandoms today: Doctor Who, Highlander, Torchwood, Ghostbusters, and original New Mutants. Just give me a prompt and character, and I’ll see what I can do. And since it’s a little late in the evening around here, it might be written tomorrow. I’ll accept prompts until tomorrow morning CST.

It was less than a day following the events that took young Doug Ramsey’s life, and Rahne hadn’t rested. Instead, she was running simulation after simulation after simulation. Running from reality, in truth, is what Magneto or Dani or Sam would say.
She had five more things she could have done to change things. Five more ways to prevent Doug’s death, and who knew how many more avenues could bring about other ways. Another ten? Twenty? She could have saved him, she knew she could have.
He wouldn't have died alone, probably thinking we were mad at him. Rahne panted to keep from crying again, instead focusing on setting more simulations; she was spurred on by a futile and grief fueled desperation.
Oh, Doug. Why didn’t you let him shoot me? I’d have healed, I know I would’ve. Why did you have to die?!
If the others knew what she was putting herself through during these hours before his funeral, they would beg and plead with her to stop…but she had to know just how many times they could have gotten things right. How many possible happy endings could there have been?
In another few hours, Dani would come down to find her, in all likelihood. She couldn’t bring herself to care right now. She missed Doug, and didn’t think the pain would ever end.
