So far, I seem to be doing better, according to the endoscopy doctor’s assistant. So the endoscopy is scheduled for August 22nd, at 9:30 AM. It also seems that the story of my ulcer was spread through their office, because everyone knew exactly what I was there for and I didn’t need to tell them. The receptionist was stunned when I mentioned I hadn’t had any symptoms of an ulcer before I threw up blood.

Oh, and Mom and I asked what I couldn’t eat. She said hamburgers—I said I never liked those and didn’t go near them. She said cauliflower and raw stuff like that—I said I didn’t eat that (cauliflower) anyway. She said acidic things, probably like orange juice--I didn’t drink that anyway. Hot dogs, since it might be too greasy right now--couldn’t digest it anyway, so I avoid it. So she finally said I can eat whatever I want, since I apparently stayed away from bad stuff anyway.

Mom found a pamphlet on the type of ulcer I have while we were there, and read off the long list of symptoms. I didn’t have a single one, which is apparently bizarre.

In other news, for those that might want to vote in the RPG related poll I posted yesterday and just missed it before, you can find it here. The poll will remain open until the weekend, at least.

It is a little odd but also good for you. I've been dealing with ulcers myself, nowhere near as bad as yours, and I've had a horrible time! I've been so nauseated sometimes that I can't eat at all. Have they tested you to see if it's caused by a H. Pylori infection? Quite a few ulcers are caused by a naturally occurring bacteria that occasionally gets out of control.

Hopefully it'll be gone soon! I'm jealous of the lack of symptoms! LOL

Good to hear you're feeling better. That whole thing sounds scary as hell.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I know they've improved treatment of ulcers a lot over the past few years.
