Who else thinks that Mia Wasikowska would possibly make a good grown-up Illyana Rasputin PB? That, or an older Meggan--I can't decide. Keep in mind I’m just going by the behind the scenes photos of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie--which can be found here.

And for those that are interested, I spotted a funny metaquotes post earlier, over here. It involves a dream someone had, where the Daleks and Joker ruled the world—which I believe halfway happened in the Emperor Joker storyline.

This discussion over at doctorwho made me wonder if there were any fanfics out there where the Doctor either gets taken over by the vortex he takes out of Rose, or is taken over by the power of it at any other time. Anyone know of any? Or any stories where Jack used the vortex instead of Rose?

In other (and awful) news, it’s good that I don’t leave the house on Black Friday (for anything other than a used bookstore trip, anyway). Someone was trampled to death at a Wal-Mart in New York. Elsewhere, someone fired a gun and killed two people at a Toys R Us.

Whatever happened to the days when you just had a tug-of-war over the last Cabbage Patch Doll? Mom told me stories of going to the mall when I was little, seeing a brawl (with hair pulling and scratching included) over the last Cabbage Patch Doll, and just leaving. Thankfully, even at the age of 3, I understood the reasoning behind not wanting to die over a toy.

I've seen a story where the Doctor never gives up the vortex energy and never regenerates, and Rose and Jack end up the leaders of the rebels against him, I think. It was on LJ but I didn't memory it or anything.

I don't think I've read that one. If you can't think of the title, then I'll check around the Doctor Who related fanfic finding groups later.

Hm. Based of those photos and the artwork of those character, I'd guess Meggan with the long flowing hair. Some of the other photos I've seen of her online, she looks more like the teenage Illyana. But I don't know those characters that well, so take that with a grain of salt.

I made the same comment about Cabbage Patch Dolls. I mean, do people never learn? I have done almost all my Christmas shopping on Amazon. Free shipping, no major store stompings. I consider this a plus to living.
