That was close...

Well...that was traumatic. I no longer need to worry about the tree next to my room. It just fell over completely, rammed slightly against the wall, and crashed to the ground. It didn't crash through the window, because of the stuff we have on it. If it had, from what we can tell, the thick curtains and aluminum foil on the window (don't ask, I don't remember why it's there anymore) would have saved me if it had.

The bush where the cat sleeps will no longer be used. It's gone. So's another bush. From what we can tell (it's dark outside) it's slightly on the roof, but mostly off.

Just so you know, I was at the computer reading something on Teaspoon when it did it. I think I'll be sleeping in a different room tonight...

Edit: Yeah, that icon pretty much sums things up. When I ran out of my room, the cat ran in. She apparently wanted to see what happened.

Eek, I'm amazed you still have power.

We used to have tree problems back when we lived next to the golf course. We had three separate incidents, but only one was during a storm. That one fell parallel to the side yard. Very unsettling looking out your side window and seeing nothing but branches everywhere.

Stay safe!
