Fannish Items of Interest

Teen Wolf is next to get a remake.

There are rumors that Smallville will get a spin-off. Io9 tells why it shouldn’t.

Thanks to [personal profile] katemonkey for posting this: Looks like Google Books has every issue of Weekly World News, from 1981-2007. I used to buy it, just for how ridiculous it was. Every week from the age of 6 until I was 12 or so.

[profile] blognewsarama lists the top 10 best and worst fathers in comics.

And from Cracked.com: The 7 Most Baffling Criminal Defenses (That Sort Of Worked).

For those that are interested, AMC is showing a Bill Murray Movie Marathon all day. They’ve just finished the first Ghostbusters movie, and are about to start on the second. The first Ghostbusters movie then comes on again around 7 PM CST, followed by the second one again. They had some commentary with Ernie Hudson that I managed to catch the very end of a few moments ago.

You know, Io9's suggestion of turning it into a Superman show? That's actually quite brilliant. I think I'd watch that. I really would. I'm getting tired of Clark not putting the suit on.

You know, if the spin off was, you know, people actually being heroes instead of this teen drama dreck it turned into, I'd watch it. I really wanted to watch the adventures of Ollie and his buddies saving the world.

I'd watch the Adventures of Ollie and his fabulous biceps. For like three eps, at least.

At least three, maybe more. I mean, I watched Smallville for seasons on less than that.

As long as that Black Canary chick isn't in it. Because I like Dinah in the comics, but in this she's just annoying.

I know there have always been remakes, but the sheer number of remakes either in production or being announced at the moment frustrate me. It feels like there's more remakes on the way than original movies. Something's wrong, anyway.

I love the idea of a Bill Murray Movie Marathon day. That would be awesome. I'm tempted to host my own version.

Thanks for the criminal defenses link.
