Items of Interest
Of all the footage I’ve been seeing of the sandstorm in Australia, I find this one to be one of the most amazing. And over at Io9, you can find at least one more video in the comments to this post.
And for those that are interested, I stumbled across a site called Comic Book Movie Fansites, where someone named TheHawk compiled a list of pretty much everyone (I think a few of the Exiles, and a few from Generation X are missing) in the X-Men and Justice League comics, and who should play them. 108 characters from the Justice League. 330 X-Men characters. Some of the ideas are pretty good. A few are horrible, but others might actually work
Regarding Dancing With The Stars, I’m glad that Macy Gray went home. I think the reason Tom Delay didn’t go home, was because of what I like to call The Cloris Leachman Effect. Ashley Hamilton was awful, anyway, so it’s good that he went.
I’m working on the plot (from the prompt I’ve mentioned over in this post, if anyone missed it) of the Support Stacie fanfic. I also need to think of a good title. Any ideas? A Slap Is Worth A Thousand Words is the only one I’ve been able to think of so far, because at some point Jackie (or Donna, or Martha—while the clone wisely sits back and watches in amusement, grateful it’s not him) will slap the Doctor for even entertaining the notion of running away from everyone.

I looked at the JLA castings. I don't know some of these actors (or some of these characters - "Justice League Antarctica"?), but the only choice I'd argue is that Ackles is too old to play a high school student and Thehawk didn't offer a casting for Professor Stein. Tony Head?

I don't think I ever actually read Justice League Antarctica, though. I agree with your pick for Professor Stein, though--Anthony Stewart Head would be great.

Oh, I remember Justice League Detroit all right. That came just before the Crisis
To End All CrisesOn Infinite Earths, when the editors and writers got lazy and decided that the Justice League needed not to consist of any characters who had their own books to keep continuity with, and Aquaman fired all the big names, including all the founders except himself and J'onn. Then that lead to Max Lord and that lead to JLI and I got married and I stopped reading JLA till Grant Morrison brought the original seven back in the late 90s because he wasn't afraid of other books' continuity. But family budgets being what they are, I only kept up with it for a short time; so in my mind the JLA remains perpetually a revival of what it was when I was a kid, and that's a good thing. In any case it's been my habit when writing the DC universe in my crossovers to utilize whatever comics or tie-in continuity serves the need for the present story. You could end up with Clark Kent anchoring WGBS coverage of Superboy and the Legion vs. the Rainbow Lantern Corps, and any complaints would fall on ducks' backs.
