Ardath Mayhar has passed away, at the age of 81. May she rest in peace. She wrote over forty novels spanning various genres, some under one of several pseudonyms.
Lina Romay has passed away, at the age of 57, following a battle with cancer. May she rest in peace. She was the wife of Jess Franco, and appeared in many of his movies (and was considered his muse). I’ve checked, and (since many of her movies were) none of the images featured in the articles would be considered unsafe for work.
Harry Turtledove agreed to spoil the end of his War series for a terminally ill fan who would never get to read it.

Sadly she passed away about a year later so she never did get to see the end, but at least she had the pleasure of talking to J. Michael and finalising something in her mind that she loved.
