The Plot Thickens--Just A Bit

Well, that certainly took a dramatic turn. I was trying to write the Bar Ficathon story, and seem to have fallen over an actual plot, instead of just Edith and Victoria sitting in a bar talking about ghosts, with Alan wedged in there for his continued support. The Dark Shadows portion seems to be overwhelming the Crimson Peak part and traumatizing those characters, but that’s okay. They fit together nicely.

And there goes Angelique, still body hopping in 1991, seeking more vengeance and dropping revelations on people in an oddly disturbing moment for everyone that formed by accident. Alan and Edith just wanted a quiet night before they tried to get back to their own time. At least nobody will be falling off of Widows’ Hill? At least Edith doesn't have a Collins in her family tree?

Heh. Also, wow for good timing. Possible inspiration struck regarding fixing that very thing in the seconds before you commented.

It would explain a lot with the seeing ghosts. If Edith happened to have a Collins in the family tree (on her mother's side) anywhere, I just realized that given the time frame, they would maybe be located somewhere in the 1840's or 1850's.

Vicki would be thinking 'please don't let there be anyone named Laura Collins in that branch.' She heard enough cryptic warnings from Maggie in the 90's version.

(I was originally going with the revelation they never got around to actually tying up/entirely addressing in either series. The one where Victoria Winters' real mother was Elizabeth Stoddard. That could still be true.)

That actually does sound to be a good theory to me. And no matter what went down--no matter who is the real mother of Vicki--it’s still a complicated thing on the part of Liz, who knows whatever the truth was.

Yeah, I tend to avoid Facebook as a whole. I just read the Dark Shadows Every Day site lately, and the discussions in the comments.

Back in the mid 90’s is when I first started watching the original series on the Sci-Fi Channel. I think I always managed to miss the entire time that Victoria was around on the series, as well as any hints of anything as to who her parents were. I did have a three ring binder filled with transcripts of all those episodes at one point, though, from a Dark Shadows fan site that probably no longer exists.

(My first episode was around the very start of the Leviathan storyline, and I still stuck around.)
