4 is plotting to take over the world with the help of 10. Only 6 can save us all! How doomed are we?
Jack Harkness wants the help of Seward to take over the world. Only Vanessa Ives can save us. Well, we’re not that doomed. Seward fainted when Jack flirted. Vanessa doesn’t need to sacrifice herself; she flirts as she leaves Jack.
5 & 9 set up a coffee shop together. What's it called, how successful is it - and what is it really a cover for?
Peter Vincent and Angelique setting up a coffee shop. That would be fascinating. It’s called The Curse of the Night. His vampire hunting is at night, while her curses can destroy the lives of patrons that are cheap instead of the Collins family. It’s a cover for Peter Vincent learning more about the world of the supernatural than he ever expected, and trying to entice her into becoming a vampire hunter with him.
Angelique is amused by him, and so he doesn’t die. It’s only successful because of her powers. If Nicholas Blair set up a competing shop (he knows better) it would fail.
11 & 15 get trapped in a haunted house. Who keeps their cool, who sees the ghost - and who do they call in to help them from the rest of the list?
Lili from Legend and Alan McMichael from Crimson Peak. He was fascinated by ghosts in the film he’s from. Alan would keep his cool and bring in Edith to try to speak with the spirits, because Lili’s out of her depth. She had one brush with evil, and is too freaked out by the potential for more.
7 and 10 learn they're now soul-mates. Tell us about their epic romance.
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Seward learned they were soul mates. Well, they’re in the same time period, at least. Once Holmes stops deducing everything about Seward’s life, and Seward stops worrying about what others think, and stops feeling jealous of Watson…it might prove interesting. They briefly argue about vampires being real or not, before Holmes gets proof that vampires exist, it’s not just someone trying to get venom from a bite, and is stunned. At that point, they engage in quite a bit of research and banter that stuns everyone, and go somewhere private, perhaps.
The questions from
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Why did 3 and 7 decide to take over a planet, and what is 9's reaction?
Edith Cushing and Sherlock Holmes want to take over the world. Angelique would be jealous, perhaps, and amused.
Which character (from a different canon) would 2 want on their side during an alien invasion?
Methos wants Barry Allen on his side. If someone is going to screw up the timeline by accidentally doing the wrong thing and time traveling during the invasion, he might as well not be caught unawares.
12 has to teach a class to 1, 8, and 14. Which subject do they teach, and what kind of students are 1, 8, and 14?
Van Helsing teaching Jonathan Harker, Endora, and Lucille Sharpe. Everyone’s almost from the same general timeline. Van Helsing teaches the subject of Vampires and the Occult. Jonathan has personal experience and can produce details for the rest in regards to being mentally enslaved. Endora will correct anything about spells that Van Helsing mentions, or cast a spell to make him truthful for amusement.
Lucille…well, she’s disturbing, but fascinating to Van Helsing. She has the best (and most macabre) questions. Jonathan gets an A+ thanks to a fascinating research paper, even if the footnotes descended into hysterical rambling and second-guessing of himself. He’s forgiven it due to his issues. Endora threatens to send him to Mars is she doesn’t receive an A. Lucille just stares at him, but doesn’t need to do anything, for she had far too much evidence of particular matters of killing assorted creatures and people to merit less than an A+.
Meanwhile, poor Jonathan remains a wreck of himself (who can still function, thanks to his previous Dracula issues making him believe it’s more of that coming back to haunt him) thanks to Endora messing with his sense of reality. She stops short of making him think he should eat flies again, when Van Helsing directs a particular look, that just makes her wonder if he has access to magic, too.

2 is in love with 12, how would 2 try to woo?
Methos is in love with Van Helsing. Well, just get him what he likes. More old books for research, and draw him into a discussion of Immortality. The driest wooing in history.
6, 3 and 13 are on Dancing With The Stars. Who wins, and how do the others react?
Vanessa Ives, Edith Cushing, and Barry Allen are on Dancing With The Stars. Edith wins with a fantastic waltz, thanks to what she learned from Thomas. Vanessa was 2nd place. While Barry was fast on his feet, his dancing left something to be desired. He came in third place. Vanessa and Edith are surprised, but pleased that they beat him.

2 and 14 encounter 8 in a graveyard at night. What are they doing there?
Methos and Lucille Sharpe encounter Endora. She’s probably casting a spell. The real question is why is Methos in the same vicinity as Lucille? He should be worrying about getting his head cut off by her. She has access to a whole lot of knives.

4 and 6 wake up to find themselves handcuffed together in such a fashion that picking the locks isn't an option. Was it 9 or 15 who was responsible, why did they do it, and will 11 be able to help the cuffed duo free themselves?
Jack Harkness and Vanessa Ives are handcuffed together. Did Angelique or Alan McMichael do it? Can Lili free them? No, Lili can’t, for she doesn’t have experience with handcuffs. Angelique did it, since Alan’s too nice to have tried. Jack tells whoever comes to free them to take their time.
The Plot Gods force 1 to play "cliff/shag/marry" with 6, 9, and 10. What happens?
Jonathan Harker gets a game of it with Vanessa Ives, Angelique, and Seward. Well, whatever happens it’s bound to be interesting. Even if Jonathan is recovered, he still remembers his time spent in a cell when he wanted to rush to his Master’s side…and yet he’s grateful to him for freeing him. Vanessa reminds Jonathan of Dracula. Angelique scares Jonathan. So Jonathan marries Seward, warily shags Angelique*, and reluctantly cliffs Vanessa after apologizing profusely, and begging her not to ever ever seek vengeance.
*Barnabas made this same mistake, Jonathan. You’re so doomed.
5,7 and 12 are participating in Yuletide for the first time, and are assigned to write stories for other characters from the list, possibly but not necessarily including each other. The assigned writer for each of them is also someone from the list. Tell us a little about at least three of the six stories resulting from this situation (and which of the 15 characters has actually been doing Yuletide for years now).
Peter Vincent, Sherlock Holmes, and Abraham Van Helsing write stories for Yuletide for the first time. Sherlock Holmes ends up writing some sort of revenge horror story with a mystery at the heart for Angelique. Peter Vincent just knows acting and vampires and finds it an honor to write for Jonathan Harker. Van Helsing writes for Seward and writes something lovely but horrific that causes him to pass out, just for kicks—Seward mumbles he loves it anyway.
Barry Allen would likely get around the concept of a deadline by writing as much as he could, running as fast as possible to get back in time, and continuing to do that until the timeline’s in a horrific knot and he has a novel completed—to the rest of the world, with 2 weeks to spare. In reality, in his personal timeline, it’s 4 months late.
Methos has been writing for Yuletide since the year it started, and will continue to write for it as long as it lasts. Under many different aliases, so nobody knows how long it’s truly been, because I can see him doing that.
Question from

3 and 15 discussing the end of the world.
Edith Cushing and Alan McMichael discussing the end of the world. So basically, it’s a Crimson Peak fanfic, since they’re from the same film. Ghosts come into play somehow, and they wonder if ghosts would continue walking around until the world ends. And what would become of the ghosts at that point? Morbid, but they’re stuck indoors for a prolonged period after their injuries, and they had to pass the time somehow.

13, 3, 5 and 7 all meet for coffee - what's the conversation like?
Barry Allen, Edith Cushing, Peter Vincent, and Sherlock Holmes. Well, Holmes is quietly having his whole way of thinking shattered, while he stares into the depths of his coffee cup. “Whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” And so, he’s trying to keep up with the effects of time travel on history, and ghosts, and vampires.
Edith and Sherlock Holmes are the closest to the correct time period, and so she tries to help him; she’s equally shocked by time travel. He refuses to believe in ghosts, and believes it must have been something else influencing her. She isn't insulted, since so few believe. She is disturbed by thoughts of vampires being real.
Peter Vincent is fascinated by accounts of Holmes’ cases, once the two of them get over the confusion. Barry offers to show them all around on Earth 2 once he jumps realities again, but the answer is a resounding no.
They just want to go home to their own times. Edith wishes Alan were there, while Holmes would have been interested to see Watson’s reaction to all of this. Peter Vincent knows Charley would have begun screaming, and so is fine with being there on his own.
And lastly, Sean sent a few by e-mail:
2, 4 and 13 find themselves in 1947 - are they in their past or future? How do they cope with the technology of the time? And the big question for that year: Roswell? Do they know it, do they try to get a look? Do they try to get a lift? Or was it them in the first place?
2, 4, and 13 are Methos, Jack Harkness, and Barry Allen from the Flash tv show. They're probably in their future, except for Methos, who is in his past. Harkness and Barry Alley courtesy of time travel, which Methos got caught up in. Barry just needs to run fast enough to get back home, Jack and Methos could live through the time (yet again) if they had to.
Jack probably knows the answer to the Roswell question. I'm pretty sure it's almost canon that they would have explained the truth about Roswell to Barry as of the massive crossover event. They might break in, if Jack needs something for his vortex manipulator.
8 and 14 - what is the show can they have a conversation entirely in quotes from?
8 and 14 are Endora from Bewitched and Lucille Sharpe from Crimson Peak. Lucille hasn't been exposed to movies or tv, and is probably still a ghost wandering the halls. Endora would turn her nose up at the thought of quoting, but if we have to make them do it, I would think that Lucille would be a massive fan of Silence of the Lambs. She can quote it by heart.
1 isn't paying attention and has wandered off to the window - what's drawn their attention?
1 is Jonathan Harker from Dracula (1968). What caught his attention? Dracula, of course. It must be after sunset if it's during the film, and he spotted his Master. Or maybe a larger than average fly, and he just wants a taste. If it's after the film, then he's wandering away to make certain whatever is out there, it's not a vampire.

 You can't help but feel this is very hard on Dr Watson. I mean, the fellow faints whenever Holmes does something more than usually weird, and Holmes already had a perfectly good doctor to hand. Poor Watson!
And I haven't ever even seen Highlander, but fannish osmosis would suggest that Methos would totally do Yuletide! (And Van Helsing, you just got yourself on _coal. Typical.)
Great answers! This meme is pretty much always gold. :-D

"Does he write?" "No, no, Watson. He's a doctor in an asylum. He faints, as well, actually. His mentor reminds me of Moriarty. He has the same cold, calculating mind, but lacks the desire for controlling the underworld. It's just as well for the rest of society that he didn't venture into crime."
(And with that Yuletide one, I can so see Van Helsing ending up on _coal, too)
Van Helsing was likely standing near Seward, watching with clinical detachment as Seward fainted. Making notes on what gained such a reaction, for how to do a better job next year. Seward just stares in horror when authors are revealed.
