Ken Russell has passed away, at the age of 84. He died peacefully in his sleep, according to reports. May he rest in peace. I’ve always meant to watch Gothic, which he directed. ETA: A correction: He passed away following a series of strokes, according to Dread Central.
Yesterday, I watched the Fright Night remake for the first time. It would have been nicer if the conversion to 3D thing didn’t mean whole chunks of the movie were black. It’s that, or the people in charge of lighting should have been fired. However, I was greatly impressed by the way they got around inviting someone into a home, and what Charley did in the final battle, and liked certain bits with Peter Vincent.
