Once Dad was finished reformatting his laptop, (he just needs a new one, but won’t listen—it’s 6 ½ years old, and keeps crawling pitifully on) I decided to test the four websites that I can’t access on this computer. Just like on here, those four—That Guy With The Glasses, Demonoid, Clique Clack, and Insanejournal—refuse to open. Ping requests cannot find them, and nothing turns up. Back on mine, I tried to surf to Insanejournal via the IP address, which didn’t work in IE, almost in Chrome, and only got the main page in Firefox. With Firefox, just like the one on this computer, I could log in, but not do anything else. I can’t get to my journal, or any other page outside of the homepage.

With Demonoid, using the IP address, I can get to the page, log in, and perform a search. I can’t get anything for CliqueClack or That Guy With The Glasses, and I can’t get to my journal at IJ. Ideas? What do these four sites have in common? This all started on Tuesday.

Edit: Oh, right. The other day I went ahead and posted my wish list to [community profile] wish_list. Might as well just link to it now, so I don’t lose track of it.
